Welcome to the North-West Province

The capital of North-West is Mahikeng formerly known as Mafikeng (Meaning Place of Stones).
 It is most famous for the start of the second Boer war. The town was founded bt Molema Tswana in the 1880's.

The province has some of the finest game reserves, archeological and cultural sites set in truly African bush climate. If hot and dry is what you like, this is the place for you.
